ARLINGTON VILLAGE COURTYARDS
Arlington Village Courtyards Condominium residences consist of one, two, and three, bedroom brick, townhouses situated in a wooded setting of mature trees and landscaped grounds. Surrounded by Fairway Village Condominium and Arlington Village Townhouse Condominium, the 60 townhouses comprising the Arlington Village Courtyards Condo backs to Army Navy Golf and Country Club in south Arlington. Contractor Gustave Ring and architect Harvey Warwick originally developed the property between 1938 and 1941 with funding from the Federal Housing Administration. All of Arlington Village was operated as a rental community until 1980 when the Holladay Corporation began conversion of 60 townhouses into Arlington Village Housing Cooperative Association and the remaining 595 townhouses into Arlington Village Townhouse Condominium. Many long-time residents of the apartment complex purchased a share in the Cooperative at that time. Then, in March of 1998, the 60-unit community successfully converted from a Housing Cooperative Association into a Condominium Association.
The 18 years as a cooperative forged a strong sense of community among the AVCC members that continues forward. Today, Arlington Village Courtyards Condominiums are well-managed by the Unit Owners Association and its Board of Directors, with off-site management provided by Liberty Management. Each unit owner has a proportional vote in major decisions.
The solidly built, colonial style, brick townhouses are the pride of Arlington Village Courtyards. Pool privileges, an extra storage bin, and ample parking are just some of the many amenities. Landscaped grounds and mature trees provide the backdrop for the quiet community atmosphere that is an integral part of the Village. In addition to the charm and character that make Arlington Village Courtyards so special, owners enjoy great investment potential in a highly convenient location. Many restaurants, a theater, lots of shopping opportunities and an Arlington County Recreation Center are all within walking distance. The ART Bus stops twice on 16th Street for quick easy access to Metro Rail at Pentagon City Metro Station about 10 minutes away. There is also a bus on Columbia Pike that takes you directly to the District. All these features make Arlington Village Courtyards a highly desirable place to live.
